About us
Van-Uday is committed to restoring degraded landscapes and ecosystems through a science-based, community-driven, and financially sustainable approach. We integrate traditional ecological knowledge with modern scientific methods and innovative technologies to regenerate ecosystems that strengthen biodiversity, support regenerative and natural farming, and enhance the climate resilience of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP&LC). Our work places community stewardship and the strengthening of local institutions at its core, ensuring that restoration is both inclusive and enduring

Our Vision
At Van Uday, we believe that resilient landscapes and empowered communities are the strongest defence against climate change and biodiversity loss. We envision ecosystems that thrive, forests that regenerate, and Indigenous and local communities who lead as informed and capable stewards of their environment.
We believe that restored forests and regenerative land-use practices can build climate-resilient economies, strengthen livelihoods, and equip communities to face emerging environmental challenges with confidence and dignity. When healthy ecosystems and sustainable livelihoods reinforce each other, they create a future where both people and nature can flourish.
Our Mission
Our mission is to restore degraded landscapes and rebuild resilient ecosystems by uniting the traditional knowledge of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities with the strength of modern scientific advancements. We work to regenerate biodiversity, promote regenerative and natural farming, and strengthen the climate resilience of communities through inclusive, participatory, and locally grounded approaches. Through this mission, Van-Uday strives to create thriving landscapes where nature and communities flourish together in balance, dignity, and resilience.
